The Future of Nonwovens is Growing in Montana
As demand for clean-label and sustainable products continues to rise, a powerful solution is growing—literally—right here in Montana: industrial hemp.
At IND HEMP, we’re leading the charge in sustainable innovation, supplying U.S.-grown and processed industrial hemp fiber for high-performance, modern nonwoven applications.
In collaboration with The Nonwovens Institute at NC State University, we recently created something groundbreaking: a high-performance wipe made entirely from American-grown hemp fiber—the first of its kind to be grown, processed, and manufactured in the United States.
To make it happen, we:
- Refined our hemp inventory into a cleaner, finer fiber
- Sent it to Georgia for scouring, enhancing compatibility with cotton and lyocell
- Took it to The Nonwovens Institute for carding and hydroentangling to complete the spunlace process
The result? One of the first-ever USA-made hemp-based wipes—a sustainable solution with real performance benefits.
Here’s why brands should consider hemp from Montana farms:
- Exceptional product performance
- Shorter, more resilient supply chains
- Stronger sustainability stories
- Cleaner labels consumers can trust
At IND HEMP, we’re not just growing fiber—we’re growing the future of nonwovens.
