We recently read a great article around the considerations of utilizing tools to help streamline and automate content, with a major challenge being the loss of authenticity and staying true to your core. We see how AI can generate content, but most times, it is easy to spot and can do the opposite of what companies are trying to do with their messaging. In that light, we always strive to be our authentic selves, while also creating engaging and worthwhile content for the industry, our partners, friends and outside business to truly show who we are and what we stand for.
With that in mind, we wanted to reflect on the month of June, and highlight events and where our time was spent as we navigate the complexity and craziness of the industrial hemp industry.
Mid-States Virtual Show
This past month, in June, Jordee, Steve, and Kady represented IND HEMP at the Mid-States Virtual Show from our Belgrade office. Despite the challenges of conducting an online event, our team’s resilience and problem-solving skills ensured a successful showcase of our warehouse to both new and existing customers. This event was a valuable opportunity to connect with potential clients from the Mid-States region, enhancing our outreach and business development efforts. We were thrilled to hear multiple group’s feedback around our booth appearance, the support provided by our team and the reinforcement that with our products, we are making an impact at a very high level. Kudos to the team!
EIHA Annual Conference
Trey Riddle and Gregg Gnecco proudly represented IND HEMP at the EIHA Annual Conference in Prague. They managed our table, showcasing our company’s projects and initiatives in the USA, internationally, while also giving the unique flare that Gregg is known to bring and technical insights that Trey is so good at conveying. The conference allowed us to reconnect with European partners, share discernments, and reinforce our commitment to the industrial hemp space. The positive feedback and new connections made during this event gave us a sense of great things to come, along with a renewed hope as we move into developing markets and beyond.
Geraldine Fun Day
We sponsored an event in Geraldine and Chouteau County featuring the Josh Abbott Band. Despite the cold and windy weather, Jennifer and Jordee attended to show our support. It was heartwarming to see the community come together, enjoying the concert and other activities throughout the day. This event and others like it are important to who we are at our core, speaking to community engagement and support that drives our ethos.
Employee Spotlight: Dave Elliott
In the month of June, we spotlighted Dave Elliott, our IT manager and an OG team member. Dave has been with IND HEMP for around four years, working remotely from Omaha, since basically our inception. Notice the last name? Known for his technical expertise and personable nature, Dave is a valued team member, who tends to bring a light hearted sense of humor to our tech support. Outside of work, Dave enjoys reading and collecting vintage fishing reels, reflecting his passion for fishing and is known to crack some pretty witty jokes.
Safety Focus: Hearing Conservation
As part of our core beliefs, employee safety is something our CRO, Jim Seines, is always championing. For June we were emphasizing the importance of hearing conservation, a crucial aspect of workplace safety. Prolonged exposure to high noise levels can lead to irreversible hearing loss, which is entirely preventable with the right precautions. Our commitment to safety includes providing access to protective equipment and conducting annual hearing tests for all production workers. This, and other initiatives provide what we believe is a great work environment and helps our team to sleep good at night knowing we are taking the proper precautions to provide a safe workplace. Although maybe not seen as “glamorous”, we think it’s pretty darn cool.
Influencers and Sponsored Athletes
Our influencers and sponsored athletes play a vital role in promoting IND HEMP and its brands, Hemptana and All Walks. We are excited about those key figures highlight here, but also in a previous article we put out, go give them some love:
- Arabella Cook: Women’s Team Captain of the SDSU Rodeo team and PRCA pro rider, showcasing Hemptana products at rodeo events and on social media.

- Jillian Zaun: Promotes Hemptana through her success in rodeo and active social media presence as well as pursuing her degree in Mathematics at Nebraska.
